One of the highlights of Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival is discovering the many topiaries nestled throughout the park. These natural sculptures look spectacular during the daytime under the sun or all lit up at night. Here are some you can scout out on your visit to Epcot’s 2018 Flower and Garden Festival!
Table of Contents
Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto
The first topiaries guests see as they walk through Epcot’s main entrance are Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto welcoming visitors in front of the Spaceship Earth geosphere. I love Pluto’s sunflower collar!
Donald Duck with Huey, Dewey, and Louie
Donald Duck wields a butterfly net behind Spaceship Earth.
His nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie get into the gardening spirit.
Figment
Figment gets prime real estate right in the middle of Epcot with the iconic Spaceship Earth geosphere in the background. This was a very popular photo spot.
Butterflies
A rounded display of three beautiful, larger-than-life butterflies serves as the focal point of the Showcase Plaza.
Daisy Duck
Daisy Duck is decked out in pink and flanked by Chip and Dale leading up to Soarin’.
Beauty and the Beast
Belle and the Beast hold hands in front of the fountain at the France Pavilion.
Lady and the Tramp
A very sweet Lady and the Tramp are surrounded by flowers at the Italy Pavilion.
Snow White
Snow White leads the way with some of the Seven Dwarfs in tow near the Germany Pavilion.
Peter Pan
Peter Pan and Captain Hook look ready to battle near the United Kingdom Pavilion.
Tinkerbell spreads some fairy magic over beautiful flowers at the United Kingdom Pavilion.
The Lion King
Mufasa and Sarabi stand next to Rafiki as he proudly holds up Simba for guests passing by The Outpost.
Timon and Pumbaa are not too far away from their friends!
Dragon
One of my favorite topiaries was this incredible dragon adorned with bromeliads in the China Pavilion.
Anna and Elsa
The two beloved princesses from Frozen have foregone chilly Arendelle weather in favor of some Florida sunshine in the Norway Pavilion.
Troll
A sign next to this troll topiary in the Norway Pavilion explains that trolls are considered important in Norwegian culture because they used to believe the mountains were formed by trolls who turned to stone.
Final Thoughts
The topiaries are so creative this year, and it’s amazing to see the botanical details up close and in person. The ones that seemed to be the most popular when I visited were Beauty and the Beast, Figment, Snow White, and, of course, the topiaries of Mickey Mouse and his friends at Epcot’s entrance. Which topiary do you like the best?
